Glance renders markdown for free, forever. Glance Pro unlocks editing for $9.99, once, on up to three Macs you own.

Free and Pro

Everything Glance does as a viewer is free and stays free. No license, no account, no sign-in, no ads, no telemetry, and no prompts nagging you to upgrade. Free mode is the whole viewer, with no time limit on it:

• Rendering every file type Glance supports, including math, diagrams, and syntax-highlighted code
• Quick Look previews in Finder
• Zoom, find, live reload, and Open with

Glance Pro unlocks in-place block editing, plus any Pro feature we add in later releases. Today a license gates one thing: editing.

The trial

Glance Pro includes a 14-day trial with every feature unlocked. The clock starts at your first edit, not at install. Download Glance, read with it for a month, and you still have all 14 days waiting.

When the trial ends, Glance goes back to being a viewer. It deletes nothing and locks nothing away: files you edited during the trial are ordinary saved files on your disk, and they stay yours.

Price, and who you are buying from

Glance Pro costs $9.99, once. Local sales tax or VAT may change the total, and the checkout shows you the final amount in your currency before you confirm.

maging.studio makes and licenses Glance. Polar Software, Inc. handles the sale as Merchant of Record and reseller: Polar takes the payment, calculates and remits tax, issues your receipt, and emails your license key. Your payment details go to Polar, never to us.

What a license covers

• Pro features in the version of Glance current at the time of purchase, and in every update we release in the twelve months after, major version upgrades included.
• A perpetual license, not a subscription: nothing to renew, nothing that expires. The versions your license unlocks keep working for as long as you care to run them.
• Pro features we introduce after that twelve-month window may require a renewal license. If that happens, every version you already unlocked keeps working as it did.

Activations

One license activates Glance Pro on up to three Macs you own. The license belongs to you, not to a machine. If you replace a Mac or run out of slots, open Glance ▸ Settings ▸ Glance Pro on the machine you're done with and choose Deactivate This Mac. The slot frees up on the spot.

Using Glance at work is fine under the same terms: one license per person.

Refunds

Fourteen days, no questions asked. The Refund Policy page has the full terms and how to ask for one.

Support

Glance is a small operation, so support is best-effort rather than a service-level agreement. If you paid and the app is broken, we want to hear about it: write to hello@glance.md or use the feedback form, and a human answers.

Privacy

Glance has no accounts and no analytics. Licensing adds two network calls: activating or checking a key talks to Polar's API, and update checks talk to glance.md. The Privacy page lists what each request contains.

Warranty and liability

Glance is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. It is a markdown viewer and editor: it reads your files and writes the ones you edit. Keep backups of anything you care about, as you would with any editor. To the extent the law allows, maging.studio is not liable for data loss or other damages arising from using the app, and any liability is limited to what you paid for the license.

Changes to these terms

Changes appear on this page with a new date at the top. The terms in force when you bought your license govern that purchase. Nothing we publish here later takes away what you already paid for.
