This is going to live in my workflow. Quick Look extension is the right surface. Most markdown viewers overshoot by being full apps. Mermaid + LaTeX in 8MB is impressive; lightweight previewers usually strip both.
Honestly surprised macOS doesn't ship this natively at this point. Opening Cursor or VS Code just to read a README is a small friction I hit ten times a day. Thanks for the product!
Very cool. Love it.
LOVE IT! thanks!

FAQ
Download the DMG above. Drop Glance into /Applications. Open the app once so macOS picks up Quick Look. Done.
Preview does not render markdown. TextEdit shows raw source. Glance reads the format and renders the page.
Not yet. Glance reads only by design. Editing might land in a later release. For now, write in your editor, read in Glance.
Any .md or .markdown file. Related text types render as markdown too.
No accounts, no analytics, no tracking. The only network call Glance ever makes is a version check — it fetches one small file and sends nothing about you. It runs once per launch by default, and you can turn it off in Glance's settings.
Yes. Everything Glance does today is free, forever. No trial, no paywall, no catch.
macOS 14 (Sonoma) and later. Apple Silicon and Intel run the same universal binary. iPad and iOS are not on the roadmap.
